FELYX (./316) :
I don't know how it works in UK but in France when the french post is doing the delivery, then there is rarely tax and custom to pay. I did ordered in the past from US and i dont remember having to pay extra except when it was sent by private company UPS (not USPS).

I was just going off the last item I bought (bypass cart from eBay). It also happened with the skunkboard, I had to pay tax and a handling fee. There's an £8 flat handling fee for customs/tax here now on top of the tex itself, not sure how recent that is. As Songbird is a proper business, it'd be weird to find that those games are somehow exempt from import tax & going through customs.

Now the question is how far will be the game completed? The version I got is crashing while fighting inside the mother ship. i suppose this is the Neo's beta you're talking about (sold by B&C)

OK, sorry for more SS stuff in this thread ^^ neo's beta is more complete than any of the others out there & is not an x-generation copy that has more & more errors each copy - he received it when he bought a jag/cd/alpine dev setup. The game still needs lots of work though and the CD medium itself brings all kinds of headaches. Fixing other people's old work is not as fun as making new games, so it's not something they are hard at work on.
FELYX (./316) :
Does the patch allow to play that level only or does it allow to play the following levels as well and possibly til the end?

Both CJ & neo have played the game through to the end, all my Jag CD players will not play the game through when I burn copies, dunno if it is my burner or JagCDs or what... sad For testing & working there is a loader program that lets you choose the start level, toggle infinite lives/missiles etc. It's not 100% yet though. We've done other stuff, such as me extracting the audio from the 32X version to replace the broken Jag audio. The biggest thing to do in order to make everything 100% would be to reverse engineer Jag CinkPak, extract the videos as they are now, fix them & re-encode them to put back into the game. Nobody has started work on that, it's not so trivial.
FELYX (./316) :
Would be very cool to play the entire game otherwise it will depends of the cost if it "just" allows to play few more for the ones who own already the incomplete game.

neo paid £800 for the dev setup including the game, it'd be nice for him to recoup some of that outlay if possible, but that's up to him. The patch won't work with any other versions, just the data CD that CJ makes. This CD will not be bootable - it will effectively be useless to anyone who does not have a booter proggy.
