C'est vrai que ce n'est pas franchement normalisé : ils pourraient avoir une architecture du genre
/applications/nom_executable/executable
/library/preferences/nom_executable/fichiers de conf

et pour les trucs personnels :
/home/user/library/preferences/nom_executable
/home/user/applications/nom_executable

au moins, on s'y retrouverait plus facilement
