"...found a nasty bug in Sea Of Colour that in some cases could make the bumpmap screen go berzerk or show strange black columns in the bump-area of the screen. It also affected the following MPP picture in some cases.

What happened was that we wrote a few bytes too many with the blitter by mistake and byte 28 of the halftone memory accidently overwrote $ffff8260. The screen could end up in 71 Hz for a period of time. The demo never write anything to the halftone at byte 28 and up, so it depended what the OS or previously used programs had uploaded there."
