Most notably, James Gosling, creator of the Java programming language, moved over to Google where he has been free to openly criticize Oracle. To say that Oracle Corporation is not well-regarded by the rest of the tech community would be the height of understatement
(their first act after acquiring Sun was to stomp on Google for infringement of their newly-purchased patents).
