In interviews following the book's release, J.K. Rowling gives further information about the characters. Harry and Ron work for the Ministry of Magic as Aurors, having revolutionised the department. Minster for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt has appointed Harry the department head. Hermione also works for the Ministry and has attained a high position in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Percy Weasley still works for the Ministry as an aide to Shacklebolt. All have helped to revamp the Ministry, and it is far different from the one that existed before. Harry gives occasional lectures to DADA classes at Hogwarts.[7]
