Cable USB->série pour SIO2PC ? - Page 1

Salut, mon PC portable n'a pas de port série, seulement des ports USB 1.1 : est-ce que les adaptateurs USB -> série fonctionnent avec le cable SIO2PC ? (Je suis sous XP)

à mon avis ça dépendrait du logiciel utilisé pour transférer les données du PC vers l'Atari?
Je ne crois pas qu'avec APE ce soit possible, mais ça fait longtemps que je n'ai pas essayé...

Please excuse me for not speaking French - I'm happy to understand at least every other word.
I have an USB-RS232 converter based on the Prolific PL2303 chip, which can also be found in many mobile phone-USB cables.
My SIO2PC cable is broken right now so I can't properly test it but it used to work sometimes with the adapter, but only when I switched it from DSR to RING signal and configured APE accordingly. The problem is that most cheap USB-serial adapters don't use all signals of the serial port.
However, there is a program named R5, written by Electron/Taquart that is simple to use and doesn't need the DSR signal.
