Hi! I think this is a really fascinating piece of history here, for many reasons. It is incredible what you've pulled off with this 68k calculator.

I want to try running some of the games on your main page -- Pokemon Red is an old favorite of mine -- but copying all TI-89 files via TI DeviceExplorer, archiving everything, running preos(), then running the game leads to nothing at all (just "Done"). Reading up on it, my hardware is too new -- so I downloaded and installed preos 1.08 and genlib, overwriting my old ones and being sure to reset the calculator before re-installing the new files.

However, I now get the following dialog prompts on installation:

- main\genclib is outdated
- main\genlib is outdated
- main\pokelib is outdated
- main\pokeper is outdated

Running the pokemon game gets a little farther -- I see a title screen, but it seems to be a strange mangled monochrome, and pressing any key immediately crashes the game with the status "crash intercepted" and seems to unload preos.

Is there anything I can do (besides give up)?

Thanks and great work on this.

[edit] Found a new genlib (1.1.3) and transferred it -- let's hope! Although the game is in French -- any English version, or is this my chance to learn French? smile

It's not a matter if you see "genclib/pokelib/pokeper is outdated". Nevertheless, it shouldn't occur for genlib.

Be sure to get :
- the latest PreOS here : t3?id=2&d=archives/Progs/Preos/
- the latest Genlib here : t3?id=2&d=archives/Librairies/Genlib/

If not done yet, reset your calc before you install the newest PreOS. Then you shouldn't get a message about Genlib when installing PreOS.
