Hey everyone! I've been dealing with a really stiff back from long hours at my home office desk, and I'm seriously considering the HoMedics SBM-680H-GB Shiatsu Seat Cover (the 2-in-1 neck and back massager with heat) to help with it.
My main concern is the fit. My office chair has a contoured/curved backrest rather than a flat one. Has anyone used this specific model (or similar HoMedics seat covers) on an ergonomic office chair with a shaped back? Does it adapt well using the straps without slipping, bunching up, or feeling awkward during the massage? Any real-world experiences with different chair designs would be super helpful!

It fits decently. The strap system is strong and holds it in place pretty well once you tighten it properly. It doesn’t slip much during use, but it does feel a bit bulkier on a heavily contoured chair compared to a flat one. The massage still works great on my lower and upper back. Tip: Spend a minute adjusting the position so the shiatsu balls line up with your spine. I also added a thin towel behind it for better contact. There is a manual https://en.manual.ly/homedics/homedics-sbm-680h-gb-shiatsu-seat-cover/manual which may help you here

"I’ve been following this thread. I don’t own the HoMedics SBM-680H-GB myself, but I looked at the manual and a few user reviews. From what I’ve seen, the strap system works on most office chairs, including slightly curved ones. However, on heavily contoured or very rounded ergonomic chairs, some people mention it doesn’t sit perfectly flush and can shift a little during longer sessions. On standard mesh or fabric chairs it tends to perform better.
It’s probably worth trying if you can return it easily. Fit seems to vary depending on the exact chair shape."
