Hong Kong, November 24, 2002 - Lik Sang International Limited, world leading online videogame accessories supplier, today announced that Lik-Sang.com will be taken over by a new fresh company in order to concentrate on winning the lawsuit against Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft.
The lawsuit
"Just a few days after having received High Court Orders not allowing us to sell Mod Chip products for the Playstation 2 and Flash Linker products for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Lik Sang realized that the powers of those three multi-billion dollar corporations are simply infinite compared to the budgets and resources businesses like Lik Sang have available. Their legal actions have been hurting our customers and our business a lot in the last couple of weeks, so that we have finally decided to let somebody else take over Lik-Sang.com and solely concentrate on the lawsuit", says Alex Kampl, Director of Lik Sang International Limited. "By allowing the new international team to take over, Lik-Sang.com will remain the place you trusted before."
After Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft filed lawsuits against Lik Sang International Limited and it's Directors in the High Court of Hong Kong alleging Copyright Infringement (for selling so-called Mod Chips) by mid September, the situation is much clearer by now. Lik Sang has been working with international specialists and is about to file strong defense for a long trial. A detailed strategy will be announced in due course.
The life-saver
Pacific Game Technology (Holding) Limited (hereafter “Pacific Game”) will be able to continue the growth of the past as well as add new superb services and features to the well-known Lik Sang experience. Customer support
The new team will ensure top-notch customer support again in the following days. A system is being worked out to ensure smooth operation. We do suggest to wait a couple of days with your inquiries as taking over such a large customer base has to be done carefully in order to restore a high level customer support as Lik Sang used to have. RMA management and technical support for past orders of Lik Sang International Limited will be entirely covered by the new company as well.
Pending orders
Due to the difficult situation with the court case, new orders didn't get processed in the past weeks. Customers will receive an email with detailed ordering and payment information hopefully within the next couple of days, so that new orders can soon dispatch in world record time like in the past.
Emails and other communications
The communication system of Lik-Sang.com is being reviewed by the new management right now. Customers will see some slight changes in the future which should improve the communication process with customers a lot. A new support centre should ensure quick email replies to inquiries in the future. Un-replied emails will be processed within about one week till the new system is put in place.
Refunds of older orders
Lik Sang has been working very hard with the previous payment solution provider Worldpay Limited and finally all the past unshipped orders (in example orders containing Mod Chips and Flash Linker products) will be refunded right away. Please do understand that this might take up to one full business week, therefore we do suggest not to immediately contact Lik-Sang.com or Worldpay regarding a refund. Customers will receive an email notification once a refund is issued.
