The Gametrac Group today confirmed that the first working demonstration of its highly anticipated mobile entertainment device, Gametrac, is to be unveiled at the CES show in Las Vegas from the 8th to the 11th of January 2004 on the Microsoft stand. The working model will show off the gaming device's impressive range of in-built entertainment functions including multimedia messaging and MP3 player.
Visitors to the stand will be able to witness first hand the powerful gaming ability of Gametrac, with three games being demonstrated along with the music player. Messaging, including Gametrac's world first multimedia advertising capability - Smart Ads - will also be showcased.

The Gametrac Group has chosen Microsoft's Windows CE. NET operating system for Gametrac because of its easy-to-use platform technology and rapid development tools. The intention is to maximise the inevitability of growth through convergence between the content-driven mobile device market and Internet protocols.
The Company believes that the arrival of Gametrac signifies a new era in mobile gaming. Set to launch in the UK in 2004, the multi-functional entertainment device offers users a unique experience wherever and whenever they choose. At its heart, Gametrac offers pocket-sized, high quality gaming using Bluetooth 2 and GPRS for multi-player gaming, never before experienced on a mobile device. Additional in-built entertainment functions include a capability to play movies, MP3 player, SMS and MMS messaging facilities and a high-resolution digital camera. Its 2.8 TFT QVGA colour screen also gives gamers the ultimate view.
Gametrac boasts an ARM9 400Mhz processor with a 64bit graphics accelerator for the ultimate visual experience it is constantly linked with GPRS, allowing wide-area network gaming and is also wired for GSM tri-band networks.
