Gametrac Europe Ltd, subsidiary of Jacksonville, FL based Tiger Telematics Inc (TIGR), has announced a new collaboration with Fathammer Ltd, the leading provider of advanced, console-quality 3D games and game technology for mobile platforms, thus adding device software that meets the same high standards as the console itself. The collaboration includes the delivery of X-Forge technology and tools and ten advanced mobile game titles.

Gametrac is a next generation feature packed gaming machine about to be launched in the burgeoning mobile gaming market. Gametrac is the only mobile gaming device that uses Microsoft’s CE. Net operating system. The collaboration with Fathammer further establishes the device as an economically and technically viable platform for third-party developers. Together with the device’s impressive list of features, such as an MP3 music player, DVD video player, multimedia messaging, GPS function and an in-built camera, the device will now have ten advanced game titles provided by Fathammer.

’This partnership confirms that our pledge to secure great content for our superior hardware has been successful,’ says Carl Freer, Managing Director of Gametrac Europe. He adds, ’It is very satisfying to initiate a collaboration with the best partner in the market delivering game technologies for mobile platforms. It enhances our excitement as respect the pending launch.’

Matti Airas, COO of Fathammer says, ’We are pleased to work with a company that is providing a new and exciting mobile entertainment platform which can utilise our console-quality 3D games and technology for mobile platforms to their full potential.’

The new collaboration aims to maximise the device’s TFT screen 320 x 240 pixels, WAP 2.0, 3D games engine and graphics accelerator, just to name a few of its features. The device’s built-in GPS technology not only gives Gametrac players a new gaming experience, but also allows game developers to incorporate the GPS dimension into mobile gaming.

Fathammer’s X-Forge is a comprehensive set of technologies and tools, which enables the creation and deployment of advanced console quality 3D games on all major mobile platforms. X-Forge ensures high quality gaming and audio/visual experience with up to 50% less development time and effort thus substantially reducing the development budget and developer/publisher risk.

This collaboration is a furtherance to the previously announced October 13, 2003 partnership with Synergenix Interactive AB whose mophun(TM) enables Java gaming.

Tiger Telematics multi-entertainment device GPS system brings gaming to life by allowing users to experience the true meaning of mobile gaming. Currently in development at the company and its partners are some of the most exciting, innovative and interactive games the gaming industry has ever seen. As well as demonstrating a new gaming functionality, the GPS system can also utilise current location based services, allowing users to locate the nearest Starbucks or ATM, for example. The device will also help you find your friends at festivals or concerts if they too have a Gametrac.

High quality multi-level games can be easily installed through an MMC/SD card and, unlike other mobile gaming devices, Gametrac puts you in total control with an eight way D-Pad, shoulder buttons and four face buttons. Gametrac also offers consumers wireless multi-player gaming using Bluetooth 2 and GPRS.
