I am working on an (other grin) adaptation of the snes game Tetris Attack/Panel de Pon
(this is not like the traditionnal tetris !)

Sorry, there is no screenshot, CalcCapture refuses to work properly
Then if you want to see how does it look, you've got to download it and try on vti smile

the bug was located between the screen and the chair
in fact I didn't know how to use Calc Capture properly hehe

If someone is interested by my old version, which is "finished" and can be considered as a "preview" of Nu's one, you can get it here (2nd game on this page). But keep in mind that Nu's version should be much better happy

If you want to finish your adaptation of "Panel de Pon", I think you should wait for Nu to finish his TA. If I remember well, you don't have much code to modify (some timers), only sprites ?

If Nu is interesed, I've thought about originals mods (one puzzle-like mode for one player and one bombing mode in link game).

The link mod is planned to be released before 2021

about a Panel De Pon version : what are the timing differences between PdP and TA ?
i know that PdP runs at 60Hz and TA at 50 or 60Hz (european or american version)
but my version can only run (for the moment) at 53 or 66Hz (due to the speed of AI1)
and 66 Hz will be too fast.
But if there's other differences, tell me

Well the two mods I had in mind are :
Puzzle mode II :
the game is freezed, with a screen full of pieces. Theres no timing. The player can switch pieces as he wants, but when he presses a key (for example left/right), destruction begins... the less pieces are at end, the best is the score... I don't know if it is understandable, but it is quite easy to implement.

Bomb mode (for two players) :
There's a timeout (when reached, the bomb explodes and player with the bomb is the loser).
The bomb is in the middle (not affected to any player). When the first destruction occurs, it goes to the other player. To send the bomb to the other player, you must do a better action. There's no falling blocks, just the bomb. I don't know if it is understandable, but I think it is quite easy to implement when 2p mode will be ok. ^^

the bomb mode is a good idea smile
maybe it should be modified a bit (add falling blocks : a vs mode without them is not a vs mode grin)
the bomb sould be a block falling from top (when sent by the opponent), and to send back the bonb, just use it in a skill (in a greater skill for example)
the puzzle II : I think I've understood the idea.
maybe if I lack mods ^^
I planned to put an endless mode, a time trial mode, a 1p attack mode (something between the special line clear stages and the 1p vs mode of the gameboy tetris attack) and a 2p vs mode (in 2042)
and maybe in the endless mode an hight score tables for the time needed to reach 99.999 points (this is the only challenge of the endless mode tongue)
