HDL Confirmed as Gizmondo Logistics Partner for UK
Gizmondo Europe Ltd has signed an agreement with the HDL Group, based in Glasgow, Scotland, for the delivery of logistical services surrounding the retailing and customer support of the new Gizmondo handheld multi-entertainment device in the UK.
Finished goods delivered from the Flextronics assembly line in China will be configured and tested in Holland before being picked, packed and shipped to their final UK destination by HDL. HDL will also manage dissemination of marketing materials and point of sale to retailers as well as product distribution.
The Gizmondo's 1-year product warranty will also offer a 'no quibble' service agreement to replace faulty units, if any hardware problem arises. HDL will manage this, alongside a customer service helpline, to ensure customer's satisfaction for their Gizmondo.
