(film) (1978)
The story on Arcadia's mistery, on which the 13th televisive episode was based. A little masterpiece by Kazuo Komatsubara, with memorable, never before seen scenes. Widescreen format.

-Waga Seishun No Arcadia
(film) (1982)
Wonderful film, when hold as a separate product. The unavoidable comparison with the "real" Harlock of 1978, compromises every good intention to (re)create a background. Incoherent.

-Waga Seishun No Arcadia - Mugen Kidoo SSX
(TV series, 22 ep.) (1982)
Chronologically preceding the series of 1978, it's virtually the continuation and the conclusion of the film of 1982.

(TV series, 113 ep.) (1978-81)
Matsumoto's Masterpiece on this long televisive series. Essential to learn the messages, the poetry and the personality of the author.

Extension of the double episode "12/13". Apart from a few sequences which didn't appear in the televisive series, some images from former episodes have been added in order to summarize.

(special TV) (1980)
Analysis of the touching story of Cleo, the crystal girl that appeared on the third episode.

-Ginga Tetsudo 999-Eien No Tabibito Emeraldas
(special TV) (1980)
Extension of the fundamental televisive episode # 24. Special guest, obviously, the space red piratess.

-Ginga Tetsudo 999-Kiwi Wa Haha No Yo Ni Aiseru Ka
(special TV) (1980)
Another double episode set in a single televisive special. Based on the wonderful and dramatic events that were told on the 51th and 52th televisive episodes. The story of Altemis.

-Ginga Tetsudo 999
(film)(1979)
A masterpiece, and an "ultimate" film by Leiji Matsumoto... if considered as a film in itself. In comparison with the series, there are obviously too many contradictions as well as some roles that stepped out of line especially as for Tetsuro. That conforms to the clichè of movies, to the disadvantage of the original pathos of the story, that we can only catch in the manga or in the televisive series.

-Sayonara Ginga Tetsudo 999-Andromeda Shuchakueki
(film) (1981)
After the final of the former film, and its substantial "goodbye to the youth", it didn't make any sense to produce this sequel. Beautiful and pointless...

QUEEN MILLENIA -Sennen Joo

(TV series, 41 ep.) (1981-82)
Year 1999. Ideal opening of the whole poetic saga by Matsumoto. Yayoi, Maeter's ancestor, is the first ethereal creature with long blond hair, that looks to the terrestrials as the only hope of humanity.
Superbly told series, with a pre-catastrophic tension, which increases episode. Faithful to the original manga.

(film) (1982)
Resume of the series. Not very faithful to the original series. Among all the new and bothering changes, the incomprehensible sweetening of the significant Yayoi's sacrifice for humanity emerges.
