Hi.

I've just released the first beta version of my new game called Egypt!

A short description of the game:

Egypt is a puzzle game where you move a sphere around on a 8x8 board of walls, objects and arrows.
The game was originaly made for the old NES/Capcom.
Stepping on an arrow tile shifts the entire row or column in the direction of the arrow.
Your goal is to eliminate all the objects by getting 2 or more objects of the same type next to each other.
But be aware your steps, you might get trapped in the walls!

When all the objects are eliminated, the puzzle is completed.

There are also 3 different types of magic items that will aid you on your way.
This game has nice grayscale graphics and automatic saving of your progress.
96 puzzles are included in the game.
The game runs on Ti-89, Ti-89 Titanium, Ti-92+ and Voyage 200.

A public beta is now available from my project page http://tifreakware.net/lachprog/egypt.htm.

Check it out and tell me what you think! smile

Also, it would be nice if someone would be willing to help me translate the readme and possibly also the small amount of in-game text to french.

Sorry Sasume, it was so short, I made a translation in few minutes:
// Puzzle screen text and messages:

Etapes:

Rotations:

Puzzle Terminé

Puzzle Raté!

Annuler?
Enter=Oui
Esc=Non

// Other messages:

Niveau Terminé

Niveau <n>

Le jeu est terminé!
Félicitations!

// Menu texts:

Egypt pour Ti-68K:

Nouveau jeu
Continuer
Quitter

Difficulté:
Normal
Difficile

Quitter?
Enter=Oui
Esc=Non

// Error messages:

Une erreur s'est produite:

Erreur de niveau de gris!

Plus de mémoire!

Impossible de charger le jeu!
Impossible de sauver le jeu!

I'm open for all corrections and suggestions, i'm not a translation master.

(I don't like "puzzle raté" but have no alternative idea)

Why not "Echec du puzzle"? Is it too long?

OK, tu veux traduire le README aussi, squalyl ? (sinon je le ferai quand j'aurai un moment smile )
Ouais, pour "puzzle raté" faut voir si on trouve pas autre chose... genre "puzzle non résolu" ?

I'd say `nouvelle partie' rather than `nouveau jeu'
I would also not say `puzzle' (which in French means `jigsaw puzzle' specifically). What's the difference between puzzle cleared and level cleared ? is each level a sequence of several puzzles ? (edit : ok it is, I had not read the readme file). If that is the case I would suggest translating `puzzle' to `tableau' maybe.
Also, I would say `abandonner' and not `annuler' (`annuler' could give the impression that you want to undo the last move).
And I would only capitalize the first word of each piece of text, it looks very bizarre in French to have capitals to every word.

edit (cross) : for the readme the main thing I have to say is again that puzzle means jigsaw. For `puzzle game' I would say `jeu d'énigmes' or `jeu de réflexion', and elsewhere the same thing as in the ingame text, so `tableau' or maybe `problème' (which is the usual word for crosswords for example)...
apart from that I would say `objet magique' rather than `élément' which sounds strange. And it's `sauvegarde précédEnte' ^^
