use of td th etc. - Page 1

Hello,

When I use a style like this, it works fine:

<style>
#mytable td { 
background-color: #ce1141; 
}
</style>

If I replace td by th, the style is ignored?
I try with th as td first-child etc is not possible (yet...)?
