Hi,

I hope English is OK as I can neither read, write or speak French! However I do hope to be able to understand enough to extract useful information from time to time!

I'm interested in all aspects of Neo Geo, from playing to hardware development to software development. I currently have a blog http://ngpace.blogspot.com.au which some of you may already know. My ultimate goal is to develop an FPGA-based Neo Geo motherboard replacement. But for now I'm concentrating on developing a bus analyser and flash cart for my own development and learning. I'm also about half-way through porting the arcade Donkey Kong to the Neo Geo.

I own MVS, AES and (as of today) NGCD systems with (only) a handful of games for each. Right now I'm attempting to get my Donkey Kong project running on the NGCD, without much success. Hence my internet travels and how I ended up on this forum!

Anyway, my main interest in joining is the Neo Geo Homebrew & Development forum.

Regards,

Thanks guys! And thank goodness for Google Translate!

Donkey Kong is about 50% complete so far. I would think it'll take another few months to finish it off, since I can only work on it in my spare time.

My 1st goal is a playable demo of the 1st level. When I have that going, I'll post an ISO.

Hi Marck,

concerning your 'Neo Kong' project, there's no hurry Man!
BEY says : 'Fortunately there aren't a deadline for homebrew coding ' ... I'm agree with that!

few words, to help you :
Regarding questions about programming Neogeo and stuff like that, the main page is here:
sections/417-programmation-homebrew-sur-neo-geo Programmation & Homebrew sur Neo Geo

There, you will find differents topics, concerning electronics, games/demo (homebrew projects) or tutorials ... (use, Google Translate it' s a good idea)

For example the second topic, opened by BEY:
topics/160058-galaga-emu-on-neogeocd-project/2 Galaga Emu on NEOGEOCD Project

Or this one, opened by HPMAN concerning his powerful new library for the NG, of course !
Hpman informs us both on neogeofans & yaronet
topics/161717-une-nouvelle-librairie-graphique-en-preparation 'new graphic lib - still WIP' ps: Hpman release his first version, yesterday ! thank to him ...

Thanks for the hints & tips Frederic, kuk!

I've actually been in contact with Bey before I found this site, with regards to his Phoenix emulator! Good to see a few people working on NG homebrew!
