very interesting discussion...
...well Lynxopoly is based on the houserules in my family used.
So the changes in rules are tested for a long time
And the changes makes the game faster, the bidding does not exist, and if you are bankrupty you have to sale addons or games(streets in the original).
If you are not testing it everyday to search for bugs it will make lot of fun, and if you are dont have much time every day for your Lynx - its the first release with an "save-game" feature.
Last word to the youtube vids and the preview on planet-atari:
The preview is from 09-2008 so its the first running version without any graph and sound improvements. The binary has about 70kb
The alpha-vid on youtube is the final alpha where all gameplay details are implemented. its from 02-2009 and the binary is about 150KB
The Beta on Youtube is the version after the first betatests. It has lots of graphimprovements a new menustructure and is also polished in the most things: The binary was about 180KB
The last beta3 has 210KB binary and is the nearly finished game.
Tha actual RC1 where i make the last bits polishing will have 280KB binary and i have to add compression for all data to fit it into the 256K ROM.
So the release will be so strong calculated that it could be i solder the boards directly at AC.
So you get an really HOT game
