Softbank Games reports of a conference with a Mr. Koichi of SNK Playmore, in which the company laid out it's plans for the coming years. It seems as though they will be focusing their attentions on the pachislot/pachinko market, and the lion's share of their budget will go in this direction. They will be moving their management resources from games to pachinko, as the pachinko market will be their stable source of revenue. They will also be looking to move overseas (europe) with their pachislot business. SNK Playmore is indeed looking to become a "comprehensive entertainment company." Now - they don't say that they're moving the budget in it's entirety, but this certainly looks like what they'll be concentrating on. Also do bear in mind that most games are developed by SNK Neo Geo, not SNKP, though the distinction may not actually be made here, since most budget ultimately comes from SNKP in turn. This appears to be a ten year plan, so we may not feel the effects anytime soon.
