John Romero NGaged in Moscow
The second version of Nokia NGage is going to be deprived of all disadvantages found in its predecessor. A few details about the next mobile console by Nokia were disclosed in Moscow by famous game developer John Romero.
It is known that NGage design appeared to have many flaws. Changing cartridges is not handy and talking by phone is inconvenient because you have to hold the device with the narrow side to your face. A man looks awkward doing this.
The rumours that Nokia digests an amended version of NGage spread immediately but there was not any trustwothy information.
John Romero who boasts of being one of the developers of Doom and Quake is now working on projects for NGage. At the Moscow Game Developers Conference that took place on February, 21, John revealed a few details concerning the next version of Nokia NGage.
Romero admitted that the present version of mobile console has no future. He said that the next version is deprived of the drawbacks of the NGage we all know.
According to Romero's words the new NGage lets you talk by phone holding the device either way - with the narrow side or the flat panel to your face. Using a console of his own John Romero even showed to the reporter the way it goes.
The next version of NGage feels comfy in your hands, Romero said, because of the device's lesser size and thickness. And that is very important in case you would like to send a short message.
It also became handy to remove the cartridge - by flipping the back cover.
Damian Stathonikos, PR-manager of Nokia Corporation's Department of Multimedia and Game Devices, informed us that Nokia would not give any official information on their NGage platform development plans.
"It is too early now to say something about any exact plans", Damian Stathonikos told Compulenta. PR-manager only confirmed that in a few years Nokia will be releasing some new versions of NGage.

Voilà voilà, c'est donc bien confirmé, Nokia bosse déjà sur la N-Gage 2 qui ne devrait pas mettre trop de temps à sortir... en corrigant les défauts de la première version, on espère !
