Je suis désolé, je ne parle pas français.

A student of mine had part of the connection cable break off in her TI-83+. I'm looking for ideas to possibly repair the calculator. Any ideas would be welcome.

Merci beaucoup!

Sorry if my english sounds strange, I'm french, as you can guess happy

First you must open the calculator. It's not very difficult but you have to be careful when removing the screws and the plastic locks used to connect the two parts of the calculator's cover.

When done, you'll get a printed circuit board, where you'll be able to notice the plug at the bottom, used to connect the graph link cable. You may be able to remove the part of the broken cable with a pin.

Notice that opening the calculator will void the warranty. If it's a problem, the only solution is to bring the caculator back to the reseller, who may give you another calculator (this was a successfull solution for someone I know in France).
