megamem - Page 1

i currently have AMS 2.09 on my calculator and I'm wanting to play CF on my TI-89. Since i don't have AMS 2.05 or any other AMS ROMS, i'm trying to send PedroM to my TI-89. I've also downloaded megamem and maxmem, but maxmem doesn't support any AMS higher than 2.05 or the standard AMS 1.00, which i have also.

here are my questions:

1) how do i use the "MEM208.exe" in megamem208? I've already sent "tibrcvr.89z" to my TI-89. Can it be used with AMS 2.09 (that's the latest version and it's the only AMS ROM version i have, besides the AMS 1.00)??

2) I do have a AMS 2.05 ROM, but it is in a .ROM extension and is there any way i could convert it to a .89u or send it directly to my TI-89?

Well, it is not useful anymore if you are running PedroM, but here is how to patch AMS 2.09:
In a hex editor, search for 0000000162. On the first occurrence (and the first only!), replace 62 with 60. That's it. (MaxMem doesn't change anything other than that.) Then use the TIB Receiver to send the file.

What do u open in the hex editor? and do u do the same process if as it were ams 2.05? Wouldnt it be easier if you just posted 2.05?

Your AMS update. TI89OS209.89u or TI92PlusOS209.9xu.

Oh, and you first need to send an older AMS (2.05 or older - it really doesn't matter what exact version since you are going to overwrite it right afterwards, it can even be 1.00) to run the TIB Receiver.

darn i dont have any kind of older os i hate myself -_-`' i didnt back up any What if u already have 2.09 already in the calculator? Im so sorry for bothering you with my stupidity. I just want to get cf to work
