Hello!

My name is Pedro, and i am from Portugal where i own 2 BX: one 16v and one TZD Turbo.

Please excuse me for being writing in english. I understand a little of french but it is more easy for me to write in english.

I am the responsible for the page reffered in this topic: topics/33550-bx-world-portugal , wich represent's the Citroën BX in Portugal. Currently the page is off, because of some problems in the web server where the page was lodged. However i am updating the page and has soon has possible, it will be on line again.

By the way, i must congratulate this space you've got here. Its a very big forum and rich in contents for BX lovers.

Are there differences between french bxs and portuguese bxs ?

Have you others informations about the BX in you countries? Clubs? Meetings?

Here in Portugal we have some Citroën groups and clubs, and usually we make some meetings.

About the differences in French BX and Portuguese BX, i can tell that here the GTi's where commercialized with FULL EXTRAS equipment, except the board computer, and 3 engines where available:
BX 16 GTi - 1.6 115cv 8v
BX 19 GTi - 1.9 122cv 8v
BX GTi 16V - 1.9 16v 160cv. Here BX 16v was named of "16 Valve" and there was named "16 Soupapes".

There in France, for what i can see some GTi's where commercialized with poor equipment, is that correct? And there i think that existed some versions of BX whith french city names right?

Here the best sellers where: BX 14 RE and TGE, BX 16 RS and TRS, and BX 16 GTi.

In France we haven't the 1.6 GTI, alone the 19 GTI and the 16 Soupapes. How many horses power do it?

- bx "ourane" (17td) absolutely beautiful, whith the eqipments o the 16 valves)

Yes, BX Sport exists here, but it is a very rare car.

BX 1.6 GTi uses the same engine block of BX 16 RS and TRS, but with injection system and not carburator. The engine is the same of Peugeot 205 1.6 gti.
