Dear synSONIQ customers,
exciting news!
-- Chris Huelsbeck presents the "Turrican Soundtrack Anthology" project and fundraiser --
www.turricansoundtrack.com
Featuring a cosmic hero in a silver battlesuit, the "Turrican" series of games brought nonstop action to all gaming systems of the 80’s and 90’s. The beautiful synthesizer scores for these games were created by Chris Huelsbeck, arguably one of today’s most popular game music composers in the world. Huelsbeck’s soundtracks played a major role in shaping "Turrican" into a digital legend.
Almost 20 years have passed since the last game in the series was released, but Chris has big plans to bring "Turrican" back from retirement --at least musically-- with the production of the "Turrican Soundtrack Anthology": The idea behind this is an epic limited edition box set of at least three CDs, which will feature almost every melody from the saga in newly arranged and recorded versions. While this box set is bound to please every synthesizer music fan out there, new bonus recordings with the WDR Radio Orchestra are also lined up for the project, to be realised in the context of a new symphonic game music concert in November and supervised by the producers of the acclaimed "Symphonic Shades -- Huelsbeck in Concert" event and album.
In order to realize these ambitious plans, a budget of at least 75,000 US-Dollars (about 58,000 Euro) has to be secured. To achieve this, Chris Huelsbeck is now asking his fans to support him in a Kickstarter campaign to make the "Turrican Soundtrack Anthology" become a reality. "My first Turrican album has sold roughly 10.000 units over the years", Huelsbeck says. "I know that the games still have a following, too. This project is a personal dream of mine and I hope that together with all the fans, we can make this happen!"
Aside from the finished CDs, supporters of the project can get their hands on numerous goodies like posters, t-shirts, "Turrican" ringtones for their mobiles, or even tickets for an orchestral game music concert that will take place in November in Cologne, Germany. Those who are willing to support the project with a larger sum may take an exclusive look behind the scenes and will be personally informed by Chris about the progress during the production.
Detailed information on the campaign, running from April 16th to June 3rd, can be found at: www.turricansoundtrack.com

PPOT make their difficult third album look easy
with a brilliant
mix of new remixes, some original tracks, and
remakes of their older
tracks, now out of print.
They're launching the CD on May 12th at their live
concert, which
is probably sold out by nowWe're not allowed
to send out CDs
until launch.
Did I mention that I was hoping to get the guys to
sign the copies
C64Audio.com sells? I'm sure I did, oh yes.
**** Perfect SIDs on Double Vinyl LP! ****
http://www.c64audio.com/productInfo.php?cat=RER013LP
A double vinyl LP full of great SID, recorded by
an expert and mastered to
perfection? With a beautiful gatefold?
It can be yours!
Tracklisting includes Trap and Parallax, as well
other classics such as
Comic Bakery, Last Ninja and Cybernoid 2.
The recordings were done by Jason "Kenz" Mackenzie
of Binary Zone, and
the product makes "Input64" look like the twisted
sick joke that it was...
There's also a CD!

********* Binary Zone Rocks ******
Kenz, recorder of the SID, does some great
C64-related stuff,
and is even releasing new commercial C64 games
lovingly created
and packaged! Also, a great podcast of C64 music.

********* SID Remix Prog Rock - RAKBIT! **********
http://www.c64audio.com/productInfo.php?cat=NP01
Welcome to the best C64 remix album you've never
heard. RAKBIT is a guitar-led
tour-de-force remix album by NecroPolo, and it
deserves a listen, frankly.
It's a digital album only, and comes with the
first C64 executable album

*** Immortal 4 - we're now selling it! ***
Thanks to a glitch, our website has been selling
Immortal 4 since it launched,
but it disappeared off the front page. So, if you
haven't got it already...

*** Instant Remedy Amiga cover CD coming soon...
***
Instant Remedy is soon to be releasing his
long-awaited Amiga covers album
through Jan Zottmann (creator of the Immortal
series of albums). Yum!
*** Chris Huelsbeck Turrican Kickstarter ***
I was going to tell you about Chris's Kickstarter
campaign to do a Turrican
remix album... so I will!
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chris-huelsbeck/turrican-soundtrack-anthology-by-chris-huelsbeck
*** Zombie disappointment ***
Long story short: it looks as if David Whittaker
will never recover any rights
to "Stardust" (Lazy Jones subtune 21) used by
Zombie Nation in "Kernkraft 400".
This is heartbreaking, and is mostly due to the
fact that there's a huge difference
between "the law" and "justice": and the little
guy gets the shaft.
*** Nexus 1, 2 and Instant Remedy full FLAC albums
now on the site ***
Thanks to Daniel Martinsson, there are now entire
album ZIPs of FLACs
for Nexus 1 and 2, and Instant Remedy available as
the last track of
Disk 1 on the product page.

Also, I have attached Nexus II to Nexus I, because
I think it was
getting overlooked.

http://www.verkami.com/projects/1530-europe-in-8-bits
Si vous pouvez leur filer un coup de patte, en partageant ou en participant financièrement ce serait vraiment génial.
On est plusieurs à soutenir ce projet et à se mobiliser, on espère que ça va le faire!
Merci tout plein !
Bisous
Festen Team
