Salut !
Quelqun sait il à quelle adresse je pourrais contacter l'auteur de GPScumm, cr j'aurais quelques questions a lui poser ? Merci ! (je crois me souvenir que Drum le connaissait plus ou moins)
Hi,
Your English is just fine ;-).
Currently ScummVM for the GP32 is still being worked on but as a VERY slow
pace, i.e. 20 minutes here and there. I currently don't have a GP32 so that
also slows down development.
Sam and Max is at the higher end of what the GP32 can run due to memory
limits and the 'whack a rat' bug was a memory leak in the main ScummVM 0.5.1
code that showed up on a few of the smaller footprint platforms including
the GP32. I may have a save somewhere just after so you can continue.
Failing that a 0.5.1 PC save will work.
As for the slow cursor, the way the cursor was coded in 3c was such that
libs like OGG, MP3 etc. could never work (don't ask, very nasty hack). As
the aim of my original test release was to prove OGG was possible I did not
spend too much time fixing the cursor.
I am currently working on a build of ScummVM for the GP32 that JUST supports
BASS (based on ScummVM 0.7.*) and if I get some reasonable feedback on that
I will fix up the other engines one at a time. I did have the GP32 running
Fate of the Amazon Queen at one point so that's another possibility. ScummVM
for the GP32 is a fairly big project and it would seem despite asking nobody
is really interested in helping so it goes along @ my pace ;-).
If/when you do see more ScummVM for the GP32 releases from me they are libel
to support one game engine per FXE, i.e. Scumm games, BASS, Simon games etc.
I'll have a dig through my source and see if I have anything interesting or
any of the newer test builds that went out to people, no promises but if I
find any I will mail them over.
Regards,
John Willis
