magic.ram en français pour Magic 6.2 - Page 1

Bonjour à tous,

Je me suis permis d'adapter un patch de traduction écrit il y a quelques années par Stéphane Perez. Il permettait d'obtenir le fichier magic.ram en français depuis une version 6.1 en allemand (voire en anglais). J'ai adapté son patch pour qu'il fonctionne avec Magic 6.2. Il vaut mieux tard que jamais.

Si quelqu'un a un accès au site TransAction, ce serait sympa que ce fichier soit référencé directement sur ce site.

J'en avais un peu marre que mon Magic 6.2 soit à moitié en allemand et à moitié en français.

Comme pour la version 6.1, voici ce que ce patch apporte :

Ce programme vous permettra d'avoir un système totalement en français. Il modifie le fichier MAGIC.RAM de MagiC 6.20 :

* Clavier totalement en français
* Rajout de touches :
* [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[—] -> le symbole copyright (©)
* [ALT]+[-] ---------> le e dans l'a (æ)
* [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[-] -> le E dans l'A (Æ)
* [ALT]+[`] ---------> le e dans l'o (œ)
* [ALT]+[SHIFT]+[`] -> le E dans l'O (Œ)
* Traduction des messages d'erreurs
* Traduction du menu de contrôle ([ALT]+[CTRL]+[ESC])
* Traduction du menu GEM (celui qui est indépendant des applications)

Tiens j'avais oublié que j'avais patché MagiC 6.1
Je dois avoir la traduction pour cette version si ça intéresse quelqu'un.

Question complémentaire. J'ai un magic 5 installé sur mon Falcon.
J'ai voulu passer en version 6.2, mais là la machine se bloque sur le message de lancement. Je n'ai plus qu'à éteindre celle-là pour pouvoir redémarrer. Après ré-installation de la version 5 j'ai une erreur #32, numéro de fonction non valable.

1/ Qu'est-ce donc cette erreur?
2/ Comment puis-je installer une version 6.2 en français?

L'erreur #32 concerne le lecteur de CDROM non reconnu. Comment le faire reconnaître SVP ?

tu utilise quel driver ?
perso c'est spin!
pour lui tu dois avoir metaxbs.prg dans le dossier auto et spinmagc.xfs dans gemsys/magic/xtension

4. Installation of the MagiC-XFS SPINMAGC.XFS
     ---------------------------------------------
     Copy METAXBS.PRG to the AUTO folder (the position in this case is 
     immaterial; it may even be called METAXBS.PRX). Copy SPINMAGC.XFS 
     into the \GEMSYS\MAGIC\XTENSION folder.

     After a reboot it should be possible to access the CD drive in the 
     same way as under normal TOS.


HOW IT WORKS
     METAXBS.PRG is a slimmed-down version of METADOS.PRG, from which 
     all functions for loading and linking in DOS drivers have been 
     removed. This not only saves space, but also prevents the 
     installation of the DOS drivers, which are no longer needed under 
     MiNT and MagiC. At start-up MetaXBS links in the BOS drivers as 
     usual. After this, all MetaDOS-XBIOS functions are available as 
     under MetaDOS.

     The XFSs also read the MetaDOS configuration file (from 
     \AUTO\CONFIG.SYS). They look for the line for installing the DOS 
     driver (now no longer used) and evaluate it themselves.
     For example:

     *BOS, c:\auto\cdargen.bos, A:11

     This line will be evaluated by MetaXBS, and, as with a normal 
     MetaDOS installation, lead to the driver CDARGEN.BOS being loaded 
     and SCSI drive 3 (8 + 3) being initialised as MetaDOS-XBIOS device 
     `A'.

     *DOS, c:\auto\hs-iso.dos -c128, S:A

     This part will now be evaluated by SPIN!. SPIN! simply looks for 
     the instruction to install a DOS driver and undertakes this 
     function automatically. For this it will recognise the file names 
     "ISO9660F.DOS" (Atari-MetaDOS) and "HS-ISO.DOS" (CD-Tool). A 
     cache-size specification as for CD-Tool (-cXXX) will be recognised 
     and evaluated. So in the above example SPIN! would install the 
     GEMDOS drive S:, access it via MetaDOS-XBIOS as device `A' and 
     reserve a 128 KB sector cache for it.

J'utilise Metados. Y a-t-il un intérêt à passer de version 5 en version 6.2 ?
