Hello i installed your PedRom on my Ti89 Titanium and it works fine but now i want my old calculator back but my comp wont recognise the device. i have tried Tilp and Ti-Gragh and Ti Connect but no luck. The computer dosent even recognise that there is somthing pluged in and "no" its not a driver problem everything worked fine till i installed you Pedrom. I have tried another Ti calc i have with the same port and same wire and it works fine. so either i have to tell my comp how to recognise a Pedrom calc or tell the calc how to talk to the computer.
Pedrom v .83
win 7 32

please give me my calculator back!!!

Hello,
As far as I can remember, you might try removing a battery cell and then put it back while holding the [APPS] key.
The boot menu should appear and allow you to send another OS using TILP or TI Graph Link.
I hope that helps! hehe

for your information, PedroM doesn't support the USB interface of the titanium, which explains your problem.
Another solution is to type "install product code" in the command line. It should run the boot code directly.
(But the Pen^2 solution works too).

Hello,
Folco should reply soon, he's been using pedrom as his main computer for ages! grin

8

Anyway, here is a readme https://t3.yaronet.com/?id=19:
The Ti link protocol is not complete: you can't send a Product Code, neither receive/send backup. Other things should work (Prefer Ti-GraphLink or tilp to TiConnect).
So if I were you I would try to send a file with ti-graphlink or tilp?

9

I also install tilp program and ti graphLink but it doesn't recognize my calculator

please send me the tilp program

The "install product code" command is for installing a new product code, ie the TI OS or a new version of Pedrom. So that is not what you are looking for.

what must i should write in my calculator to connect in computer

I am looking for to connect in my tilp program or Ti connect program for installing the 3.1 Os

yaseen (./15) :
for installing the 3.1 Os
Oh, OK, so you need to type that "install product code" command indeed.
As for the PC side, please be patient, Folco will probably come later when he is available. He has much more experience in dealing with pedrom than I have. And of course PpHd may answer too.
That being said I suppose the ./2 procedure I explained back in 2012 should work as it's calling the bootloader directly, and installing pedrom doesn't modify it.

17

If you have the "waiting to receive" message, you just have to plug your calculator to the computer, and use your computer software to send the 3.1 OS.

You have to run "install product code" on the calculator to go to the boot code.
Then on ti connect, run "Tools \ Ti Os Downloader" and follow the process page 43 of https://education.ti.com/en/guidebook/details/en/2AEC20243FBD4F02A2B63F5B19955A78/ti-connect
(Your calculator may appear non connected, but the os downloader should still work).
