Q: Hi, may I ask if you know anything about Highlander 2 and 3? It is rumored that the games should be in a finished or almost finished state. Since you were one of the testers of the first game I thought you might know something about it. Thanks a lot. Peter
A: Highlander 2 and 3 were scheduled to be made and the programmers were all working in-house at Atari's Corporate HQ, however, Atari closed its doors before anything was ever made and the original Highlander CD was completed just before Atari closed shop. To my knowledge, all the basic plans for H2 and H3 were established but no alpha was ready. Unless the programmers went back to the UK and worked on these on their own time, it is highly doubtful that they exist. If they do surface, I'd be curious as to who finished it. The only enhancement I knew of for the sequels was that they were writing code for texture shading, instead of the flat shading in the original. As it is, H2 and H3 are just a legend and though at one time were planned, will likely never be released in completed form.
